Job Description

Position Overview

Under general supervision, maintains integrity of the operating system environment. Performs system software and hardware installations and upgrades. Plan, schedules, and coordinates moves and validation software and hardware installations. Completes ad-hoc project activity, moves, and rollouts. Maintains growth statistics and software and hardware inventories. Provides recommendations regarding hardware and system software planning.


Responsibilities

  • Deploying computer equipment for hospital projects
  • Completes software/hardware/operating system/utility installs and upgrades including planning/scheduling, and coordination.
  • Completes ad-hoc project activity, moves and rollouts  
  • Prepares and maintains written documentation as required by the Project Managers and Leads.
  • Monitors basic system health indicators.
  • Interacts with vendors through program implementation and maintenance.
  • Investigates faults relating to desktop and applications and their configuration and escalates to the appropriate person.
  • Moving or unpacking boxes
  • Should be able to left over 25 Lbs.  
  • Manages calls through proper logging, updating and correct closure of calls using the appropriate categories and escalating when appropriate.
  • Communicates on a regular basis with IT management and Project Leads 
  • Assists in delivering equipment.
  • Provides hands-on support for all areas of the project deployment.
  • Prepares and maintains written documentation as required by the profession and the department.
  • Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment and safety standards.
  • Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.
  • Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.
  • Attends meetings as required.
  • Performs other related duties as identified.

 

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday (8hr days)
  • Some weekend
  • Some overtime
  • Some Off hour shifts
  • Most be flexible

This position does not allow for remote work.

Skills:

Candidate should be familiar with

  • Imaging thin clients, laptops, and desktops
  • Configuring and deploying iOS and Android mobile devices
  • Configuring and deploying a wide range of computer equipment including Zebra printers, Zebra bar code scanners, paper scanners, credit card scanners, and monitors
  • Following scripts to validate and sign off of installed equipment
  • Be familiar with IT ticketing systems
  • Ability to follow technical documentation

 

Education:

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience
  • Associate's Degree or basic IT certifications

 

Preferred Experience

  • Large enterprise deployment
  • Deploying end user computer equipment in a health care organization
  • Ability to working independently or part of a team
  • A+ or Network + preferred
  • Candidates with 6+ months of experience
  • Enterprise experience preferred
